The Jenkins Music Institute at Jenkins Youth & Family Village is rooted in the rich musical legacy of the historic Jenkins Orphanage Band and its lasting influence on American jazz. Through music education, performance opportunities, mentorship, and cultural enrichment, the academy provides youth with a dynamic environment to explore their creativity, develop their talents, and build confidence through the arts. More than a music program, Jenkins Music Institute serves as a bridge between heritage and innovation - honoring the sounds, stories, and traditions of the past while inspiring the next generation of musicians, leaders, and cultural ambassadors.
